Our Mission
While we believe that all professionals can learn the scientific mechanisms behind neurodivergent traits and behaviors based on research or education in their professional field...
We do not believe that all professionals relate to - or truly understand - the profound emotional and physical impact of living life as a neurodivergent person and/or a caregiver raising neurodivergent children.
This belief shaped our mission to use both objective scientific principles + subjective, lived neurodivergent experiences to inform treatment and ensure care is individualized for you and your unique needs.
Our Values
Recommending strategies and accommodations to decrease dysregulated behavior and to increase connection, safety, and quality of life.
Believing our clients when they share feelings or experiences that may be divergent from the “norm” and creating an environment where they feel safe to share these experiences and learn more about themselves or others.
Radical vulnerability and open communication with our clients and community.
Combining unique lived experience with evidence-based practice to create safe, enjoyable, neuro-affirming treatment.
Supporting neurodivergent strengths through the creation of supportive environments, self-advocacy, and community advocacy and education.
Promoting a holistic approach to treatment by coordinating care with other providers, providing resources outside of our services, and recommending other services in your area (or working with you to find some).
Frequently Asked
Questions
What is ABA and how is ABA different than other types of therapy?
ABA - or Applied Behavior Analysis - is an evidence-based therapy based on Radical Behaviorism. ABA analyzes how environmental factors affect actions, what motivates or reinforces an individual to engage in certain behaviors…
What is a BCBA?
BCBA stands for Board Certified Behavior Analyst. LBA stands for Licensed Behavior Analyst. BCBA’s are certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and licensed through their state. Our BCBA is licensed in the state of Arizona through the AZ Board of Psychological Examiners. BCBA’s must attain a Masters Degree, 2000 hours of experience in their field, and pass a 4-hour exam in order to become certified. BCBA’s are required to receive ongoing education (CE’s) to maintain their licensure and certification.
What settings do you provide therapy in?
We provide virtual and in-person services in the state of Arizona. Our services can be provided in home, school, daycare, or in the community (e.g. grocery store, social outings, church, etc.).
How do I get started with ABA?
Similar to other ABA companies, we start all services with an initial assessment to determine potential concerns, goals, and what settings services are needed.
Helpful documents or information to gather for your initial assessment include: paperwork on recent diagnoses like Autism or ADHD, reports or paperwork from previous ABA or other types of therapies, current behavior concerns or struggles (e.g. lack of communication, frequent meltdowns, trouble making or keeping friends) experienced by you or your child, and any notes you have on medical or family history of the individual who will be receiving therapy.
We are happy to provide a free 15-minute consultation to see if our non-traditional model of ABA is the right fit for you, so please scroll to our contact info below to get the process started!
Do you take insurance?
In favor of ensuring our treatment is as friendly to neurodivergent individuals as possible (and therefore not strictly dictated by insurance standards), we do not currently take insurance.
In order to ensure our services are inclusive and accessible to individuals of all levels of income, we offer a sliding scale rate, based on household size and income (with services between $40 and $100 per hour). Our sliding scale calculator can be found here.
